if only the lion could write

“Until the lion learns how to write, history will always glorify the hunter….and what I understand from this is that the narrative we have is always [just] human. But the Earth has her own narrative and perhaps that is the only one that matters.”

Tune into the provocative, inspiring and (literally) wildly magical vision of Pooja R Bhale, founding director of Protecterra Ecological Foundation as she speaks to us about her purpose, work and the critical role that spiritual ecology can play to re-imagine planetary regeneration.

As we listen to her, we will explore how we can operate from a space of imagination, curiosity, humility and reverence rather than fear or restraints.

Can we learn to ask (and answer) what is it that we need and what is it that is possible? Can we learn to reattune so as to witness the magic that surrounds us? And how to find ways to recreate for ourselves and our communities the experience of deep interconnectedness and wisdom held by this planet that we all, in the end, call home?

We invited Pooja to share her story, wisdom and vision as a ‘tool’ in the form of a tale and a lived experience for all those among us that wish to bring meaningful change to the world, those reimagining futures more in tune with the more than human, but that might feel stuck, scared, lost, or that don’t know how to action their visions.
Q: Who are you and where do you come from?
Q: Protecterra has just celebrated 15 years of history could you share how you
dreamt and imagined about it, and how that vision and what was ‘just a dream’ slowly became reality?
Q: What role does imagination play in your life and work?
Q: Reimagining, radically reimagining planetary regeneration:
What does that mean to you and how do you practice it?
Q: Spiritual ecology as guidance and teacher:
What does spiritual ecology mean? How can we think about it in our daily life, in the work we each carry and the communities we hold?
Q: What are the greatest forces against the imagination which you find yourself fighting against?
Q: How do you work with fear, limiting belief and dare to dream impossibility? What structures do you have in place, if any?
